No news.......

Just going crazy - so I thought I would post to let you know - there is no new news. Ho hum! We have heard "rumors" that there was a referral for a boy earlier this month, so that means one less family in front of us. However, we also heard today that our adoption agency isn't going to tell us what "number" we are anymore. They are saying that it doesn't matter because the birth mothers have such a say in which family is chosen. So, we wait.

Our agency is now saying we may wait 6 months for a referral, not 1 month as we were told when we were approved. It's tough to wait, but we understand. There are alot more families waiting now and things are always changing.

We are hoping that our I-171H form comes soon, which is basically our baby's right to be a US citizen form. It takes 4-6 weeks from the time you have your fingerprints taken, and we had those done 2 weeks ago.

Could use some words of encouragement if you have them - but please, don't ask me to "be patient..." I know....I know, but it's hard :-)

I just figured out how to post on your page. Duh!! So, I feel your frustration with the waiting but our group did finally have our first piece of good news today. A referral, yeah!! Here's hoping yours is just around the corner.

Hang in there,
Shana

Hi-

Like you, I could hardly stand the wait.. it was insane...and while I'm not gonna tell you to be patient, I'll tell you this: There are a LOT of things you're going to give up and change once the boy comes home.. take advantage of your free time and the joy of spontaneity now.. because even though you'll be glad to do Mommy things, thereis stuff you'll miss. In other words, make the best of the time you have now, you WILL remember these days fondly someday!

Hope your referral time is coming soon!

hugs-
Val
