Leo got to participate in some turtle activities and he used the turtle blocks to make a pattern he picked out on the page - he's showing us which one! Good job, Leo!
The adventures of Wil on his Alpha/Dino Train ( He can actually push it with his feet and go!)
This is Leo playing with "the other boy" at the Moon Festival. It was hosted by Families with Children from China - so girls are the majority. Leo will most likely appreciate attending these functions later in life :-)
So much has happened in the last week!
Wil's update:
This little boy won't stop! Within the past 2 weeks, Wil has sprouted not 1, but 2 teeth! He also started REALLY crawling. But that's not even enough - he has now started pulling himself up onto EVERYTHING and he is starting to get the concept of cruising. Where is my baby!?!?!?! He is just amazingly smart! He figures out toys after we show him once, he can use "alternative" crawling methods, such as scooting on tummy, going backwards, and other maneuvers to get out of tight spots: under the table, behind the TV, out of the dog bed. He really is innovative! Wil is very interested in what his brother is doing at all times. They played peek a boo together the other day, which made my heart just about melt. Wil was crawling behind the rocking chair in his room and kept rocking back and forth to poke his head out - then Leo would *scream* "peek-a-boo" and Wil would giggle so hard his little body would shake! It seems that the louder Leo screams, the funnier Wil thinks it is! Lucky mommy and daddy!
Leo's update:
We are so proud of this guy. Every day, he is getting more polite and really starting to listen to reasoning. He is very smart and funny too! He loves to learn and he is always interested DEEPLY in something - right now it happens to be dinosaurs - which successfully completes the circle, Leo has been interested in everything boy: trains, bugs, tractors, cars and finally dinosaurs! We cracked up today because at our neighbor's birthday party, the kids played "Musical T-Rex" The kids had to pass dinosaurs in a circle, when the music stopped, the kid without a T-Rex was out. Leo not only followed the rules of the game (a big accomplishment for him) but he also watched the dinosaur movie while doing it- and he WON! Plus, he was the littlest one :-) We just could not love this little boy more!!!
I went to a sale today and I really scored big for the kids! I got the kids Christmas shopping done! Hey, this is probably the last year that Leo won't notice is we buy all of his toys used, so we might as well go for it while we can! I got Hungry, Hungry Hippos and Rockem, Sockem Robots and walkie talkies for Leo! Plus a plethora of dinosaur figurines. For Wil, I got a bunch of noise making toys. I love the Alphabet Train (already renamed - ha - dinosaur train by his brother) He is already pulling up on it and he can ride it too! He smiles so big!
We have a busy October coming up. We are SO excited to Aunt Jess to come visit (& Miah too!) Then, headed to Boston for Halloween to see our bestest friends! Considering Leo said it was cold when it was 85 out the other day, I think he's in for a surprise!
This is Leo trying out Chinese Yo-Yo at the other Moon Festival. He loved his moon cake!
