Our 171H is finally here! What we thought would take 6 weeks took 6 months - much like our referral is turning out to be.....but at least we have it now! Yeah. That was #1 good thing to happen. #2 good thing, we got a new case worker from our agency. Our other one is taking on a new role in the company. We're hoping the new face with bring us good luck. Good things come in threes is the way the motto goes, right? So maybe our referral is coming. We can't get our hopes up too high though. Last week our agency announced that referrals are taking longer than expected (duh!) We could wait until the spring of 08 - but our old case worker seems to think that we will have a referral by the end of the year. Frustrating, but not unexpected. We had sort of figured that our for ourselves. So cross your fingers for us - I know they are sore since I've asked that in every post, but we have a feeling it's getting close :-)

Stay postive Katie! It's all we can do. Just think, if we are lucky, in the next year our blogs will have our kids pics on them.

Did I read that right? Spring of '08?? I hope they are just giving you the worst case scenario and you will be lucky enough to get a very happy surprise with a MUCH earlier referral!

August 8, 2007 - Our lucky day! Referral for Lin Kai-Yi, born 6-3-06
August 8, 2007 - accept referral
August 13, 2007 - Sign Child Referral Agreement
August 23, 2007 - Paperwork arrives in Tucson
August 24, 2007 - Paperwork arrives to us
August 26, 2007 - Documents notorized (How many adults does it take to use a stamp?)
August 28, 2007 - Documents certified by AZ Sec. of State
August 29, 2007 Documents sent to TECO to be authenticated
September 4, 2007 - Documents arrive in Tucson from TECO
September 6, 2007 - Documents sent to Taiwan! YEAH!
September 10, 2007 - Update day! We receive 4 pics and a video!
October 2, 2007 - Receive word from TWCA that our hearing date is October 9, 2007 (this happened extreamly fast!)
October 9, 2007 - Keep your fingers crossed for a quick 1st ruling (even better yet, keep your fingers crossed for a final ruling!)
