We might be the best parents ever!

Ok, so on TV here there is a show called MoMo TV for kids. As you might guess, it is the most annoying thing on the face of this world! There are 5 young girls dressed up in short mini hoop skirts and white boots that sing and dance like the wiggles and two extreamly creepy guys. When Leo hears them sing, even the commercial, he springs up, dashes to the tv, gets as close as he can and dances and laughs! It's really cute! There was even an advertisment for what we think is the MoMo stage show coming to Taipei today - but we are not going to try to figure that out! Anyway, we thought it would be really super if we could find a MoMo DVD to bring home so grandmas and grandpas could be tortured with us :-) so we started asking everyone at the hotel about "MoMo TV" in which the response is histerical laughter and chants of "MoMo TV MoMo TV for children" (Yes, we know!!!) Well, we did it! We got the name of a kids book store, traveled there all on our own, asked the clerk for MoMo TV, got the same laughing response, and then she presented to our excited son, MoMo TV!!!!!! He wouldn't drop those DVD's for at least an hour! We are pretty darn good parents! Watch out Grandma, it's ANNOYING! Momo really needs to hire an ex-disney employee for their marketing! We googled everything and cannot find one picture of MoMo TV......

We also found a great place! For anyone traveling with kids, you have to visit 21 month old Mecca on the 4th floor of Mitsosoki department store, and you also have to visit the Taipei Children's Museum. It's near the Children's book store we found. Right by the Agora hotel, there is a white building with colored lights on top in a circle. It's Eslite Department store. There is a hands on museum where kids can play with motion, dress up, go to a grocery store, etc. Leo loved it! We brought our camera sans memory card, so we will have to wait until we get home to download the pictures. It was fun though - a must see for kids under 10 I would say.

We also visited Taipei 101. The big gold ball is the damper (named Baby Damper) it keeps the building from falling in the event of high winds or earthquake. It swings like a pendulum to stabelize the building - very cool! Also, the elevator is the fastest in the world. It travels 1000 meters per minute. It gets up to the 89th floor in 39 seconds! Wow!

We will be traveling with a 3 year old (I feel faint just thinking about it) so this is all really great info for us - thank you!

You do know that you have to keep things at the grandparents to entertain the kids don't you? That's where all our annoying things go, especially the ones grandmas bought us!

Katie,

I'm pretty sure they have the Momo TV on Eva Air - we watched several very annoying shows over and over with Jade (who also loved them), and that one rings a bell. Sure wish we would have know about the children's mecca and the children's museum when we were there! So glad you found them...
