Busy, Busy, Busy!

Another busy week as we inch closer to the holidays! Leo continues to make us laugh! He learned the song, "Down by the Bay" today - in the morning, he was just making up random things to say like "did you ever see a watermelon in a car" So as I dropped him off at school, I told him that the two things had to rhyme - thinking that he wouldn't get it. We were surprised at dinner when Leo started the song off again. This time with "Have you ever seen a yak wearing a backpack" and "Have you ever seen a lock wearing a sock" and "Have you ever seen a cheerio wearing a leerio." We had a good laugh. However, today at the zoo we acquired two new Leo and his penis stories. Oh goodie~!
In the bathroom, I whisper to Leo that he has to hold "it" He screams, "No you hold it!!! It's your penis!" Then, he says, "Mommy, if you're a good boy like me, maybe you can have a penis when you get big. Mine's big!" Hope Miss Carissa enjoyed that one! But this one takes the cake- thankfully after we had left our friends and we were all alone - we passed the Park Ranger Station.
Leo: Who are those guys?
Me: The Park Rangers
Leo (screaming): NO PARK RANGERS! YOU CAN'T TOUCH MY PENIS! AAAAAHHHHHHH
Me: Leo, ssshhhh, what are you talking about, be quiet
Leo: If the park rangers touch my penis mommy, I will yell no and run away and tell you and daddy, ok?
Oh Leo, it's 'strangers'. But I guess park rangers can't touch it either!

Daddy: Leo, why is your mouth blue?
Leo: Because I ate a blue crayon.
Daddy: Why did you eat a crayon, Leo?
Leo: Oh, I was sooooooo hungry!
Daddy: I'm going to get your mother.
Me: Leo, why did you eat a crayon?
Leo: I told daddy it's because I was so hungry and you wouldn't give me any food!
(note, this is 45 minutes past bedtime after Leo had dinner, pretzel rods (otherwise known as fishing rods), carrots, a popsicle, grapes, a kiwi and an apple!)

Items found in Leo's bike basket, which he rides around like our neighborhood bum: too many to count junk mail flyers, a magazine, a pair of dirty socks, an American Flag, a Kleenex box, a packet of taco seasoning, a couple of action figures, a roll of tape "rescued" from the middle of the road, a sippy cup, and some tape-like rings that once bundled some mail. Oh kid!
Then, one evening we were going for a walk, Leo was on his might-as-well-be-a-grocery-cart bike when we met some kids in their driveway. They had caught a lizard and had it in a tank. Leo walked right up to them and started talking - like he always does! Then, one of the kids says, "Wish we had some tape to put this lid on." Leo smiled and said, "I got some, be right back!" and he ran to his bike to get his treasured tape! He came back with it and tried to hand it to the kids, but they just stared at him blankly and didn't take it. He was so proud of his tape - but the older kids, as they always do, stare at poor Leo like he's some sort of wierdo.

He is such a funny kid!

Wil continues to grow so fast! He now waves (although backwards) to everyone! His hair is wild and we constantly get stopped in the grocery store by older ladies who have to admire him! He waves! He also babbles all the time too- and we think he is actually starting to understand what he is saying, because as Alex walks into the room, he says "Da Da Da" He enjoys eating cheerios - I am pretty sure he would eat them all day long! He probably could walk with no problem - but he just likes to hop too much! We really enjoy him!

On November 23rd, Wil's two top teeth made their appearence. The two side top teeth are also on their way!

We love the picture of Leo and Wil in their chairs having some dinner! Leo always insist on eating in a big boy chair (not the one pictured..) but this evening, he decided he wanted to sit next to his brother for dinner. How cute!

Ever since we have come back from Boston, Wil has not been sleeping well. So, with a heavy heart, we decided to turn his world upside down and "ferberize" him - or leave him in his crib to "cry it out." He is a stubborn one - the first night, 2 hours. Alex was gone, so Leo took care of me. He held my hand and sat with me while Wil screamed!!! The first two naps - 2 hours. Next nap-3 hours (mommy didn't think she would make it through that one) Little Leo took care of me for this one too. He kept singing me this song as I cried on the stairs "Think happy thoughts, happy thoughts. That's what you gotta do. Think happy thoughts, happy thoughts and a sail comes to you (that part should be 'and a smile will come back to you') He was so concerned that I was crying. He's such a sweet kid! He got ice cream that night!
2nd night- 20 minutes!!! Then, he slept 12 hours!!!!! We're on the 3rd night, so we'll see what happens.... Also, on the 2nd night, Leo fell asleep on the couch at 7:45! Another unheard of experience! Since Boston, Leo has been up until about 10:30 each night. So mommy and daddy are really happy to be human again! We hope this lasts!
This is the pteranadon that daddy built for Leo - he was pretty excited!

We are so sad that our friends, Ida, Jacob and Joshua (and Ernie too, even though we never got to meet) have moved to Texas. Jacob was Leo's first friend. The boys got along so well and we will really miss them!

Leo took this picture of Ida and Tonya.

I had my first weekend away from all the boys last week. I went with my aunt Molly to meet with our cousins, Mollie and Ron. We had so much fun on Hollywood Blvd and even got to meet their daughter Dana!

Ron is really a Harley man at heart!

Princess Mollie!

This picture is dedicated to Shana, Haley and Mia :-)

Wil got a hold of the cup I use to scoop out the dog food and was pretending to drink from it, so I thought I would let him give it a try. He's so stinkin' cute!
