Decorating, I mean eating, the gingerbread house
Since we could not find a copy of "Elf on the Shelf" this year, we decided to make our own advent calendar/mini countdown to Christmas and Baby Jesus' Birthday. We got too busy on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to actually do our activities, but we still had fun. Here are the results of our week-long celebration
6 Days till Christmas: Make a Christmas craft together. We made a gingerbread house
5 Days till Christmas: Make Christmas cookies together
4 Days till Christmas: Go look at lights with your family. We went to Zoo Lights with Grandma and Grandpa Stewart and Aunt Molly and our cousins, Tom, Kelly and Casey!
3 Days till Christmas: Deliver Christmas Cookies to your neighbors
2 Days till Christmas: Play in the snow! We made the trek up to Flagstaff. (I'll post more about that soon!)
1 Day till Christmas: Give someone food who doesn't have anything to eat. We had to put that one on hold because we ran out of time
Christmas is here: Tell everyone in your family something you love about them and sing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus. We sang without the camera at church and we have also put telling our family what you love about them on hold (Although I did finish my letters to each of my boys for their Promises Box just in time! So I guess that counts!)
